  1. Northern Community Bank Household Loans Can make a Difference to Your Life

There’s no getting away from the fact that many people can find it difficult to find the money for day to day living. When wages don’t keep pace with inflation this is bound to be the case, and we understand that many of our account holders are the kind of people who politicians sometimes refer to as ‘just about managing’. Most of the time people are able to cope with this situation, but when an emergency arises they find themselves in need of the kind of quick injection of cash which our household loans offer.

It could be because you need new white goods. Perhaps your washing machine is on its last legs, or your fridge freezer has seen better days. Even if it’s just a case of updating your kitchen to improve your quality of life, it’s highly likely that you haven’t got the money lying around to simply go out and buy what you need. Our household loans can fill that gap, and can do it on far more attractive terms than those offered by other providers.

Many shops offer goods of this kind on credit terms, for example, but the interest rates charged are often extremely high. The same applies to many other loans and overdraft options. Our household loans, on the other hand, are offered at the lowest possible interest rates. That’s because we’re run for the benefit of our account holders and the wider community, rather than to make a profit. What this means is that anyone who takes out one of our household loans will get the best possible interest rate, and we’ll be completely upfront and clear about exactly how much you’ll be paying back.

It doesn’t have to be used to buy white goods, of course. You could take out one of our household loans to carry out home improvements or to do general repairs on your home. In both cases, neglecting the condition of your home could result in a poorer quality of life and in the overall value of your home dropping. In that way, our household loans can be seen as an investment in your future well-being as well as a chance to relieve the pressure on your current spending.

The way in which we administer our household loans is just another indication of how we approach things differently from other providers. We’ll deal with you on a one to one basis and will explain in easily understood language exactly what the terms of our loans are. When we have all the information we require for a loan we always try to come up with an answer as quickly as possible, often on the same day as the application is made, and never later than two days. As soon as we have made a decision, we’ll transfer the money to your account via BACS. With the cash available you’ll be in a perfect position to shop around and get the best possible deal, and the repayment plans we agree with our account holders are always designed to be affordable. If you feel one of our household loans would give you the freedom to improve your life without the stress of worrying where the money is going to come from, then apply online with Northern Community Bank today.

  2. Take out an Ethical Debt Consolidation Loan

Here at Northern Community Bank, part of our mission is to lend money in an ethical and responsible manner. We realise that managing your finances can sometimes be tricky, and that anyone can occasionally experience a situation in which they need to borrow some money in order to tide them over. We also know that more expensive purchases, such as cars, kitchens and furniture, can cost more than most people can easily conjure up. Occasionally, no matter how carefully you arrange things, it’s possible to find that multiple loan repayments become difficult to organise and keep track of. That’s where debt consolidation loans can come in extremely useful.

A debt consolidation loan is a means of simplifying and controlling the money you owe. It could be that you owe money on a couple of credit cards, a bank overdraft and a cash loan. You’ll be paying interest on each of these loans, probably at varying rates, and it can be all too easy to lose track of your payments and end up in more debt.

That’s why we’re happy to lend money for a debt consolidation loan at reasonable interest rates on a not-for-profit basis. You can borrow an amount from Northern Community Bank which will enable you to clear all of your existing loans and then pay the money back to us on an extremely favourable basis. The advantages are varied and include a free bereavement fund benefit and the knowledge that the organisation you’re borrowing from is dedicated to improving the life of the local community.

Unlike many loan companies, we set our interest rates as low as we can, and we promise that the interest rate quoted in any literature is always exactly what you’ll pay. Many people might not realise that the interest rates advertised by many loan companies only have to be offered to 51% of the people taking out loans. If you have the bad luck to be in the other 49%, you could end up paying considerably more than you thought you’d be paying.

This kind of straight talking runs through every part of the debt consolidation loan process. We’ll only lend you an amount you can afford to repay, and we’ll explain exactly how we reach that decision in person. We realise that every applicant is a person in their own right, so we have a duty to treat them as individuals. Every loan we give also comes with a free bereavement fund benefit* ensuring that, at the very least, your loan will be paid off in full in the event of your death (subject to rules).

We understand how stressful debt can be for many people, and we know that a debt consolidation loan from us can deal with that stress in one fell swoop. Immediately, you’ll have a single repayment to think about, featuring the lowest possible rate of interest and no hidden fees, charges or catches.

We also make a point of coming to a decision quickly once you’ve provided all of the information we need. We’ll often let you know on the same day, and promise to take no longer than two days. Once a successful debt consolidation loan is processed, the money will be paid into your account via BACS on the same day, leaving you free to deal with multiple debts, relax, and get on with your life.

  3. Take Advantage of our Ethical Loans

There’s pretty much no end to the number of reasons why you might need to take out a loan. A holiday in the sun, a new car or a revamped kitchen are amongst the more pleasant options, although, here at Northern Community Bank, we understand that people sometimes need to take out a loan to temporarily cover day to day living, or to consolidate existing loans. The good news is that borrowing money becomes simpler, more affordable and less stressful when you take out ethical loans.

Here at Northern Community Bank we only deal in ethical loans because we are a community bank based in the community and committed to helping that wider community and the individual account holders we lend to. You might be asking what we mean when we talk about ethical loans, and the answer is based on the fact that we’re a not-for-profit organisation. Unlike many other lenders we don’t have external  shareholders to satisfy, or bonuses to be paid, so we can offer our ethical loans at affordable interest rates calculated with the interests of our account holders  at heart. In fact, there’s a legal limit to the amount of interest a community bank can charge, so if you borrow from us, you always know exactly how much you’re going to pay.

That also applies to the interest rate we advertise. With many other lenders the advertised interest rate isn’t always the rate borrowers end up paying. Indeed, when lenders advertise representative interest rates only 51% of the people borrowing money may actually have to pay the rate of interest that’s been advertised. Bearing this in mind, it’s always sensible to not just look at the interest rate mentioned, but to consider the actual amount you’ll have to pay back.

The last point brings us to another advantage of ethical loans, which is that you’ll always know exactly what you’re going to be paying back. When you take out ethical loans from Northern Community Bank you deal with a person, not a faceless call centre or computer. We’ll explain exactly how much your regular repayments will be, and how much you’ll pay back in total, including the amount which is actually made up of interest.

Although ethical loans are really advantageous for the individuals borrowing the money, they’re also better for the rest of the community. As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus money we have is ploughed back into the community, so taking out ethical loans helps to make the place in which you live a better place at the same time as helping your individual circumstances.  Ethical loans with Northern Community Bank also come with a free bereavement fund benefit on savings and loans which provides peace of mind in the event of a death. Account holders will either have the rest of their loan paid back, or will receive a lump sum as well as having the loan cleared (subject to rules). Thanks to this, account holders have the security of knowing that, in the event of their death, their family will be shielded from at least some of the financial impact.

No hidden fees, competitive interest rates and straight talking – that’s the ethical loans promise, and it’s the kind of offer we make to all our account holders. If you apply for a loan with us we’ll reach a decision quickly. Provided we have all the information we need we won’t keep you waiting more than two days and, in most cases, we’ll have an answer for you on the same day. Once a successful loan is processed, we’ll make the payment via BACS, and the money will be ready in your bank account for you to make use of.

  4. Take Out a Home Improvement Loan at Affordable Rates

Here at Northern Community Bank, we’re used to people borrowing money for a wide variety of reasons. These range from paying for school uniforms to funding some of the cost of a summer holiday. In the past, the image of a credit union may well have been that of a place where people went for smaller, emergency loans to tide them over a difficult time. While we still serve that purpose we also offer much more, such as larger home improvement loans for account holders who need to fund major projects.

A home improvement loan from Northern Community Bank will enable you to carry out modifications which are as large or as small as you wish. From redecorating a room to fitting a brand new kitchen, our home improvement loans can be used to fund projects which would otherwise be out of the reach of many of our account holders. During the summer, in particular, there’s really no reason why the loans should be limited to improvements taking place inside the house. You could take out a home improvement loan to re-landscape a garden, have a patio built or put down some decking.

The key to a home improvement loan from Northern Community Bank is that it offers genuine flexibility. Once a loan has been approved you’ll have the cash and will be able to shop around for the very best prices. As an added bonus, the fact that you have the money available, rather than having to rely on in-store credit, will put you in a position to drive a hard bargain and push the price even lower.

Like all the loans we offer, our home improvement loans are given at the best possible rates of interest. As a not-for-profit organisation we are run solely to benefit our account holders and the wider community. This means that every home improvement loan we give is calculated on the basis of the account holder’s needs and their ability to repay. That’s why we can offer such reasonable interest rates, we don’t believe in hidden fees, extra charges or ‘secret’ interest rates – what you see is what you pay.

If you’re looking for a home improvement loan then apply online today. We’ll deal with you on an individual basis, working face to face rather than via some anonymous call centre. Once you’ve provided all the information we need, we’ll try to make a decision regarding your home improvement loan on the very same day. If that isn’t possible, we still guarantee an answer within the space of two days. If your application is successful then the money will be transferred to your account via BACS straight away.

That’s when the fun starts. You can shop around and begin transforming your home or garden safe in the knowledge that you’ve got the money to fund everything and that the repayments have been calculated in a way which provides peace of mind that you’ll be able to afford them.

  5. Take Advantage of Caravan Finance and Hit the Open Road

It’s summer once again and getting away from it all for a while is right at the forefront of many people’s minds. For a variety of reasons, the concept of the ‘staycation’ – remaining in the UK and taking advantage of all that it has to offer – is probably more popular than it’s ever been. That’s why, here at Northern Community Bank, we’re expecting to find more and more people approaching us to enquire about caravan finance.

A caravan offers a number of advantages when it comes to arranging your summer holiday. The first of these is flexibility. You can go when and where you want at the drop of a hat. If there’s been a good weather forecast then you can chase the sun. If you’re feeling energetic you could head for the hills of the Lake District or the footpaths of the Northern Community Bank Way. If you just want to relax, on the other hand, then point your caravan in the direction of the coast. Before you know it, you’ll be sunning yourself while the kids paddle and make sand castles.

It’s a beguiling dream, but the issue of caravan finance gets in the way of many people making it come true. This is a shame because once a caravan has been purchased it will pay for itself many times over. No more hotel or bed and breakfast bills, or the expense of booking into a holiday camp. Looked at as the chance to enjoy holidays for years to come, caravan finance is more of an investment than an expense.

That’s why we’re happy to offer it at Northern Community Bank. Of course, alternative sources of caravan finance are available, but we like to think that our members get the kind of deal they simply won’t find anywhere else. To begin with, we run on a not for profit basis, so the interest you pay isn’t going to fund external shareholders dividends or executive bonuses. That’s why we keep our rates so low when compared to other providers. The second advantage is our total transparency. The price you see when taking out caravan finance with us is the price you pay. There’s no small print or hidden charges, and certainly no advertising one interest rate but actually charging another.

Finally, we treat our members like human beings. If you come to us for caravan finance you’ll be dealing with another person, not a faceless call centre or computer. Our decision will be based upon what you tell us about your finances, combined with what we know from your time as a member. We’ll only lend you what you can afford to pay back, at a rate which suits your circumstances.

Even better, we’ll reach a decision quickly. If you give us all the information we need we’ll try to reach a decision on the same day and definitely won’t keep you waiting more than two days. As soon as the loan has been approved the payment will be made via BACS. It’s a form of caravan finance which leaves you totally free to choose exactly the caravan you’re looking for. The fact that you’ve got the cash to pay for it ready and waiting means you may even be able to haggle for a better deal. Get in touch with us today and, before you know it, you’ll be planning your first trip on the open road.

  6. Northern Community Bank invited to talk to Halifax Bank managers

Northern Community Bank and Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Community Bank attended the area meeting for Halifax Bank managers from Lancs Central & East to discuss how credit unions could provide a service to the people that the bank are unable to help.

The Halifax Bank are part of the Lloyds Banking Group who are committed to tackling social disadvantage by improving financial inclusion. In-line with their ‘Helping Britain to Prosper’ plan both credit unions were invited to speak individually at the Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Mangers meetings at the Halifax Bank in Preston. The Credit Union movement in the UK has benefitted from the Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund where successful credit union applicants share £1 million.

Kathryn Fogg, CEO of Northern Community Bank said

“Northern Community Bank were pleased to be invited to make a presentation to the Halifax Bank managers, who were engaging and interested with the services that the community bank could provide. At Northern Community Bank we have already benefitted from referrals from the local Halifax Bank and look forward to working in partnership to help more people from the community”

Both credit unions were given the opportunity to explain what services they provided, how the organisation functions and the different ways in which credit unions could work in partnership to provide ethical savings accounts and affordable loans to those who unfortunately do not meet the Halifax Bank’s criteria.

Mike Barry, CEO of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Credit Union said

“We welcome this initiative from Lloyds Banking Group which can only be beneficial to Lloyds, their customers and to local credit unions”

If you or anyone you know would like more information about the ethical savings and affordable loan accounts that we provide to the communities of Burnley and Pendle please contact us today.

  7. Enquire About Easy Loans to Help in Difficult Times

In times of financial hardship, with uncertainty on both the political and economic fronts, many people all over the country can find themselves having difficulty making ends meet. This is particularly true when it comes to having to find the money for one-off expenses such as the cost of a summer holiday, the bill when a car needs repairing or simply starting the lengthy process of getting ready for next Christmas. When facing up to the prospect of expenses such as these, it can be comforting to know that there is a reputable source of easy loans just waiting to be accessed.

That source is Northern Community Bank, and it’s the fact that we are a Community Bank which makes taking easy loans from us preferable to seeking them elsewhere. Our status as a Community Bank means that we are a not for profit organisation. More than anything else, this allows us to set our interest rates to be as affordable and competitive as possible. Unlike many commercial organisations, we don’t have to produce a profit so that directors and external shareholders collect bonuses.  All members are equal – one member, one vote. Every one of our members is a part of the Northern Community Bank family, and they all benefit from our determination to provide easy loans that are as affordable as possible. Community Bank are the only lender in the UK that has capped interest rates of a maximum 3% per month, so you can think about taking out easy loans for a range of uses with total peace of mind.

Another advantage of taking out a loan with Northern Community Bank is the speed with which decisions are made. Needing money for something like a car repair, or to replace a large kitchen appliance, is something which often happens out of the blue. Even extra expenses for your holiday can come as a surprise, and the fact of the matter is that you need any easy loans you take out paying into your account as quickly as possible.

Although we offer a completely professional service, including a number of the facilities you’d expect from a High Street bank, we’re still small enough to work on a personal basis. That means your loan application will be handled by a person, not a computer, and a person who understands how urgent your need may be. If you give us all of the information we need we’ll try to reach a decision on the very same day, and aim that the most you’ll have to wait is two days. Our easy loans are given on the basis of your ability to repay them, and some of every payment you make will even be used to top up your savings. Once we’ve approved the loan, the money will be paid via BACS or can be loaded onto a pre-paid Engage card on the very same day.

No matter what you need the money for, we’ll provide a sympathetic ear and will treat you fairly. This extends to guaranteeing that there are no hidden fees or charges, and that the interest rate we quote is exactly the rate you’ll be paying. Our easy loans will help you get over those events or expenses that might otherwise stop you being able to make ends meet successfully. We regard our members as being like members of a family rather than simply customers, and that means we want to do our best to help you out, reduce your stress and offer a degree of financial peace of mind.

  8. Access Help With School Uniform Quickly and Simply

As the long school holidays loom over the horizon, many parents have something else to worry about besides finding a way of keeping the kids entertained for six weeks or more. For a lot of families, the cost of school uniform and other equipment is a concern which blights the summer. A survey published last August found that the average family spends £186 per child when it’s time to go back to school, with clothing and shoes making up the bulk of this cost. Since inflation is bound to have had some impact, it’s no surprise that more and more people are seeking help with school uniform.

The specialised nature of school uniform is just one of the things which makes it more difficult to shop around for bargains. School blazers and sports kits, in particular, are often only available from particular shops, and if a family has more than one child going back to school then costs can soon mount.  The good news is that help with school uniform is available, and the most accessible and affordable form of that help is a loan from a community bank.

Here at Northern Community Bank, we’re used to people coming to us when they need help with school uniform. In many cases, the family in question has a long standing relationship with us and, in the past, might have borrowed money for one-off expenses such as home improvement, holidays or the cost of Christmas. Their experience with us means they can relax in the knowledge that we offer a service which is a better value than that provided by pay-day and doorstep loan companies, whilst we can offer low value loan amounts that most of the high street banks and building societies cannot.

Borrowers appreciate the fact that we are run on a not for profit basis. Everything we do is focused on providing the best possible service, rather than generating bonuses for external shareholders and directors. This means we can offer the lowest possible interest rates, and can guarantee that the rate we quote will be the rate you pay. It also means that we present a human face to our customers. When you come to us for help with school uniform you’ll be dealt with by a person, not a computer or faceless call centre. We’ll only lend an amount which we think you can afford to pay back, and we’ll even make sure your savings are being topped up while you make your payments.

Another advantage of the way we work is that, when you come to us for help with school uniform, you’ll get an answer quickly. Providing you give us all of the information we need, we’ll try our best to come up with a decision on the same day, and aim to provide a decision within two days. As soon as a loan has been approved, we can make the payment via BACS into your bank account or if you have a pre-paid Engage card we can load the money the same day, meaning you can start shopping for blazers, ties and school jumpers right there and then.

If you need help with school uniform then Northern Community Bank represents the best possible option. There are no hidden fees or charges, you’ll be treated as a member, rather than simply a customer, and you’ll be loaned the money you need at a highly competitive interest rate. Contact us today and you can get on with enjoying the rest of your summer holiday.

  9. Community Bank Bereavement Fund benefit to Set Your Mind at Ease

There’s a very good chance, even if you have an account with a credit union, that you’re not completely aware of the benefits offered by the Community Bank bereavement fund. There are many other good reasons for using a Community Bank like Northern Community Bank, of course. It will be run for account holders and not for profit, with all the money generated being recycled for the benefit of the account holders. Loans will be given on a personal basis, decided by how much we feel the member can pay back, and with interest rates kept as low as it’s possible to keep them. The Community Bank itself will offer a variety of savings accounts and affordable loans, online accounts facilities and mobile app. All of this will be offered without any hidden fees or charges.

The main benefit of the Community Bank life bereavement fund, however, is that it’s something which simply won’t be offered at all by traditional high street banks or building societies. It’s a form of cover, what’s more, which is provided completely free of charge and which offers the kind of peace of mind and security which tends to attract members to a Community Bank in the first place.

There are two types of Community Bank bereavement fund benefit, and they both offer a degree of financial stability in the event of an account holder’s death (subject to rules). Nothing, of course, can ever truly compensate for the shock and loss of bereavement. The fact that the Community Bank bereavement fund benefit may cover any loan repayments being made, at the same time as offering a lump sum payment based on your savings, can ease the stress of the situation a little. At the very least it can mean that money worries – perhaps over costs such as funeral arrangements – don’t add further stress to what is already a very difficult time.

The bereavement fund benefit we offer will provide a lump sum calculated on the basis of your age when you made the deposits and the amount of savings you have. The bereavement fund benefit could ensure that any outstanding amount left to pay back on a loan you’ve taken out is cleared. In both cases, you don’t have to do anything or make any payments in order to be covered by the benefit in question. This cover comes automatically with being an account holder of the Community Bank. It should be noted that the bereavement fund doesn’t cover savings and loans made outside the Community Bank, as this is a benefit which we provide as part of our commitment to the financial well-being of our account holders only.

As with most things, the bereavement fund is subject to certain terms and conditions, and the amounts paid out will depend on the age of the person in question and the amount of the loan involved or the savings held by the community bank. Details aside, the Community Bank bereavement fund is just another example of the way in which we strive to give all of our account holders the best and most complete service possible. The security of knowing that your savings account comes with no hidden fees, and that the loans you take out can be repaid at the lowest possible interest rate, also comes with the peace of mind of knowing that, in the event of your death, the family you were saving and borrowing on behalf of will be shielded, to a small degree at least, from the worst of the financial impact.

  10. The Community Bank Benefits That Mean we’re one of the Fairest Lenders Around

In the past, the many benefits of Community Banks had to be balanced against the fact that the organisations in question were often fairly small scale and run by excellent volunteers. Modern Community Banks, on the other hand, are highly professional organisations which offer a genuine alternative to high street banks and other loan providers. It’s also important to realise that any money you save with a Community Bank will be as secure as money saved anywhere else. Community Banks in the UK are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulatory Authority. This means, amongst other things, that any money you save in your Community Bank account – up to £120,000 – is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, so if there’s a crash like that which took place in 2007/8 you can be assured your money is safe at Northern Community Bank. Community Bank benefits also include many of the convenience you’d expect to find offered by a high street bank or building society. The Community Bank itself will offer a variety of savings accounts and affordable loans, online accounts facilities, with a prepaid Visa debit card account with access to ATM’s, mobile app and the ability to have your wages paid directly to your account and everything else you need to organise your finances properly is now available from Community Banks.

The convenience, security and facilities of larger organisations, however, are combined with other unique Community Bank benefits. These benefits are particularly apparent if you’re in the position where you need to borrow some money from your credit union. Whether the loan in question arises from an emergency such as vital car repairs or is needed to fund an annual holiday or increased spending at Christmas, there are numerous options available, each with positive and negative points. Here at Northern Community Bank we think that the benefits of Community Banks far outweigh those offered by other organisations, and these are just a few of the reasons why:

Not-for-Profit – we run for our account holders, not for profit. Our account holders are our shareholders; we aim not to increase our interest rates simply to bring in more money. On the contrary, we are run for the benefit of our members and the wider community, and it is this ethical stance which runs through everything we do.

Interest rates – we set our interest rates as low as they possibly can be. In many cases, the rates offered by other lenders fail to match up to those which are featured in advertising material, whereas with Northern Community Bank, what you see is what you get. In fact, the law says that we can’t charge rates higher than 3% a month (which is 42.6% APR). Our commitment to low-interest rates is about more than the law, however, as it’s all about the fact that we want to help our members access funds and arrange their finances.

Personal Treatment – one of the key Credit Union benefits is the fact that you’ll be treated as one human being to another. When you apply for a loan your application will be dealt with by a person rather than a computer. We’ll do our best to lend you an amount of money which you can afford to repay, and all the time you’re repaying you’ll also be building up your savings. Another one of the benefits of Community Banks is that you won’t be charged a penalty if you’re in a position to pay your loan back ahead of schedule.

Simplicity – as long as you’ve provided all of the information we’ve asked for, we try to reach a decision on all loan applications within a day, and the maximum length of time you’ll be waiting is two days. Once the loan has been approved, it can be made via a BACS payment on the same day.

In the simplest possible terms, the key credit union benefits rise from the fact that you’re a member and not simply a customer, and our loans and other services are designed to benefit all of our members.

  11. Open the Best Savings Account for your Financial Well being

It can sometimes be difficult to avoid the feeling that everything you need to buy is becoming more expensive all the time. Although different figures might be offered by different organisations, while politicians argue about who or what is it blame, the reality for most people is simple; at the end of the month or week, after all the bills have been paid and the necessities purchased, your purse, wallet or pocket can feel pretty empty. The best savings account is the account which helps to tackle this feeling.

Whilst coping with this on a day to day basis is one thing, it can be much more difficult when you stop to consider the bigger expenses which life might throw at you, such as a summer holiday or the annual spending spree of Christmas. Far and away the easiest way of preparing for events such as this is to save the funds you need by putting a small amount to one side on a regular basis. Many people in the community would rather keep their savings in the community they live in, in accounts that are protected by Financial Services Compensation Scheme and are covered by a free bereavement fund benefit (subject to rules), and they are just three of the reasons people believe that the best savings account is the kind offered by a Community Bank such as Northern Community Bank.

Unlike most other financial institutions, a Community Bank is a not for profit organisation which is run for the benefit of its members and the wider community. In the past, most Community Banks were open only a few hours a week, however Community Banks such as Northern Community Bank, are now open 6 days a week and are more accessible with telephone and online account access, offering levels of service, security and peace of mind that account holders want. Alongside this is the fact that a credit union savings account is run in the most straightforward manner possible. Open the best savings account with us and you can be sure that you’ll never be hit with expensive charges hidden in the small print of any agreement. What you see is what you get, and that includes the opportunity to build your savings and the chance to think about taking out a loan at an extremely attractive interest rate.

If you open the best savings account with a Community Bank it will not only make it easy to set aside a small amount each week or month to pay toward your holiday or Christmas spending, it will also enable us to build up a picture of your finances and the amount you would be able to afford to repay if you want to take out a loan. Unlike the faceless approach often taken by bigger banks, Northern Community Bank will deal with you as a person in your own right. We know how important your savings account is to you, and we promise it will be just as important to us.  If you opt to take out a loan, then a portion of your repayments will be placed in your savings account, meaning that you carry on building your savings at the same time as enjoying the flexibility of a loan. The interest rate you’ll be charged in the meantime will be extremely attractive. That’s because we are here for people, not for profit and we simply concentrate on offering the best savings account possible.

  12. Take out a Loan to Book your Summer Holiday

Spring has finally sprung and, as the weather gets slightly warmer (fingers crossed), most people naturally start thinking about booking their summer holiday. After all, the chance to get away from the daily grind of working life, enjoy a change of scenery and perhaps soak up a little sunshine is something which we all deserve. This is particularly the case if you happen to have children who’d love the chance to spend some time splashing in the sea, exploring the countryside or simply enjoying quality family time. If the financial demands of day to day living leave you wondering how on earth you can possibly pay for a holiday then rest assured you’ve come to the right place.

Community Bank loans offer a means of financing a holiday which is convenient, affordable and flexible. If you’re a member of our Community Bank, then you’re a member of a not for profit organisation. We’re dedicated to working with our members to making saving and borrowing as easy as possible, and that means keeping interest rates as low as they can be. It also means being completely clear and open about how much borrowers will have to pay back, allowing them to take out Community Bank loans for more expensive items such as holidays without feeling the stress of worrying if they can handle the debt.

The cost of a holiday can include aspects such as accommodation, travel and spending money, and the flexibility of credit union loans will allow our member to borrow an amount which exactly meets their needs. Having the funds available to pay for your holiday gives you the flexible to shop around for your ideal holiday.

There are other benefits to Community Bank loans; borrow from Northern Community Bank and a portion of the repayments will be used to continue building up your savings, offering security and peace of mind moving forward. On top of that there is the fact the interest rate being charged will diminish as the balance goes down and you’ll face no penalty charges if you wish to make an early repayment. Take out a credit union loan with us and you’ll have paid for your holiday in full up front, with the only repayments due going to Northern Community Bank.

As well as being affordable and convenient, credit union loans are simple and speedy. We deal with every application as quickly as possible. In most cases we try to reach a decision in a day, and the maximum wait is two days, although this does depend on all of the information we require being provided with the application. Once a loan has been approved, a BACS payment can be made on the same day. Before you know it, you’ll be leafing through travel brochures and stocking up on sun cream, safe in the knowledge that your holiday has been paid for with an affordable Community Bank loan provided by an organisation with your best interests at heart.
